Jorge Simes at the Argentina Embassy in DC
Jorge Simes, an Argentinian artist, will be showing his newest work entitled Borgeana, an homage to Jorge’s favorite writer, Jorge Luis Borges. This is the first time Jorge will be showing his artwork in DC, which is mostly inspired by his Argentinian heritage. The large format Watercolors on Paper feature Jorge’s signature style of combining images and text in each artwork. Argentine Embassy

American University Museum Focuses on Arab Art
Focusing in on Arab art, AU Museum will host two international traveling exhibits featuring a range of Middle Eastern artists. The first exhibit, BETWEEN TWO ROUNDS OF FIRE, THE EXILE OF THE SEA: ARAB MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY WORKS FROM THE BARJEEL ART FOUNDATION, is curated by Karim Sultan, director of Barjeel Art Foundation, and runs through Dec. 17.
